As part of his graduation, the cub went on his first overnight camp at the zoo with his friends and teachers. Yes, without parents! I was surprisingly not overly anxious about how he’s going to manage when he’s there cos I feel that the teachers should be able to manage and my son is pretty independent!
But as a dutiful parent, I had to ensure that he was adequately prepared. We got most of his camp stuff from Decathlon, if you are interested to know. With dengue, Zika and all, my concern was mosquitoes because their tents were in the outdoors and we are afterall, in hot and humid Singapore. It was timely I got to know about GoodAire BEFORE his camp. One of the two new products GoodAire launched recently was the Atomizer P1. It is an extremely lightweight handy little thing that you can bring along to the outdoors.
It is really easy to use. The cub just had to learn how to fill it up with tap water and how to select the different modes. There are four modes – each of varying duration of the spray and pause. Each mode is represented by a different colour light on the P1, so I got the cub to remember the color of the mode I thought most suitable for use in the tent.
Another thing I like about the P1 is it has white light for night use! Especially useful for the outdoors.
The P1 creates a mosquito-free zone within minutes after water mixed with essential oils from the patented nanovent cartridges are released as fine mist into the air. These droplets repel mosquitoes in the area, forming an invisible shield which provides protection for some hours.
Because I couldn’t tag along for the camp, I had to trouble the cub’s teacher to help me check on the effectiveness. Verdict?
The kids had a nice-smelling tent to sleep in and nobody got bitten by mozzies! WIN.
