Not only do you get to indulge in Oscar’s signature Oyster and Seafood Bar, and a wide selection of local and international spread, you can tuck into a variety of crabs cooked in various methods such as Singapore Chilli Crabs or Black Pepper Crabs.
We were spoilt for choice with plenty of mains to choose from – fried rice and ee-fu noodles at the buffet line, noodle bar live station with even more choices of noodle dishes, etc. The kids were stuffed with all sorts of noodles AND pasta, yet found space in their tiny little tummies to polish off one plate of cakes AND two plates of fresh fruits. I am a seafood person, hence the fresh prawns and chili crab went down really well with me. Especially the gravy which was oh-so-good and not-too-spicy! The husband was mighty pleased with the oysters and sashimi spread offered and couldn’t resist taking in more calories than he was supposed to. And of course, we had to end our dinner on a sweet note with freshly made waffles topped with ice cream!

Prefer round table dining? Then pamper your dad with exquisite Cantonese cuisine at the award-wining Golden Peony with a selection of Chef Ku Keung’s signature dishes such as Double-boiled ginseng soup with fish maw, conpoy stuffed in melon and cordyceps chicken or Braised South African abalone with Codonopsis and Licorice root, served with egg noodles.
Having held our wedding banquet at Conrad and dined at Golden Peony a couple of times when we feel like treating ourselves to a good dose of fine Cantonese food, I highly recommend dining at Conrad if you are looking for fine delectable food to celebrate an occasion.
