2014 has been a rough year so I can’t wait for it to be over! That said, there are still things to be grateful for.
I like that I grew much more independent as a parent and a spouse with all the solo-parenting I had to do. Thanks to the part-time work arrangement, I could better manage the kids’ schedules and spend some quality time with them and on myself too. One important thing I learned was to take good care of yourself before you are able to look after your children well.
I’m thankful that the kids are growing well and enjoying school. They drive me nuts and make me feel like the worst mother every other day. Fortunately, they also make me feel like the most LOVED mother every day with their constant wants to be with mommy, hug mommy and kiss mommy.
I’m thankful for my family who helps with the kids whenever possible and especially whenever I have to solo-parent. I can’t imagine doing the whole gig all alone. They also made it possible for date nights to happen, which is something the Husb and I are hoping to have more as the kids grow bigger.
I’m thankful for the opportunities from various sponsors to review their products/services or participate in media events because of this blog as well.
