What’s a celebration without the kids with me? Excellent timing that school was closed on Friday for staff training. In the name of celebrating their mommy’s birthday, the kids got to check out Universal Studios Singapore (USS)! We made sure they got to meet their favourite characters – minions from Despicable Me ,and the animals from Madagascar!
The cub is at such a fun age now where he’s TRYING to be more game for new experiences instead of his usual “mommy, I’m scared” self. Be it the Madagascar river ride or carousel ride, he would go along with us as long as he can hold onto our hands. The dragonlady on the other hand has her moments, and threw such a fit that the husb had to alight from the river ride with her just before we set off.
With kids as young as ours, we have come to realize that it is most important to have express queue tickets when you are doing theme parks with them. Otherwise, the long queues will frustrate them as much as it frustrates us!
We didn’t manage to get any decent family photo from the theme park shots because the lil’ dragon morphed into GrumpyBear. Can’t quite blame her as her eczema has flared up and it was a truly hot and humid day. Nonetheless, it was good quality time spent with the kids. The aim was to get them used to how theme parks are supposed to mean fun to them in preparation of future trips! 😉
