I’ve said it before. I do think my kids are pretty lucky their mom is as interested in cartoons as they are. (Sometimes even more!)
So when we get an invitation to meet Disney’s Princess-in-training, Sofia the First, I can’t tell if the cub or myself is more excited. Ha!
That said, knowing my firstborn can take ages to warm up and his sometimes overly-cautious pattern, I had to psych him up before Sofia the First makes her appearance. Was gently reminded that he has grown up a little when he knows to respond to the emcee’s questions now.
It may sound a little silly since this means I will probably have to start queuing up at meet-&-greet sessions but I’m so proud of my firstborn who overcame his fear and allowed the mascot to hold his hand without me having to hold him!
Because the lil’ dragonlady was freaking out as we approached Sofia the First, I had to hold her tight before she jumped off me to escape and couldn’t hold the cub. He allowed the crew to hold and bring him to Sofia and held her hand!! OMG, knowing how scaredy cat my cub can be, I could tear.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have entered a new arena in parenthood – attending meet & greet sessions. 🙂
Do check out the meet & greet sessions with Sofia the First at Marina Square tomorrow, if your kids are fans! The mascot not only looks as pretty as the cartoon itself, she behaves just as princess-lady-like as well!
