It’s been almost a month now since we started on the use of Essential Oils (EOs). Since my last update about two weeks ago, I’ve been finding ways to test the EOs whenever I could.
I accidentally cut my finger while doing some packing at home and decided to try the effectiveness of Lavender. I rinsed with water first and boy, did it stung! It was still bleeding when I poured a few drops of Lavender on the wound. I was pretty impressed that it really did not sting! The bleeding stopped soon after but it wasn’t a very deep cut anyway. My trainer did mention that Lavender helps the wound to heal nicely too, which I think it did cos I didn’t have those awkward dry skin that grows when the wound is healing.
Instead of mosquito patches, I used Purification as an insect repellent for our recent trip to the zoo. With mozzie patch, we will probably still get one or two bites usually. But this time with the use of Purification, the kids and I left the zoo mozzie-bite free!! WOOHOOOO, JOY!
After years of experiencing migraine and headache, it’s not hard for me to differentiate between the two. I was hit with headache last week and thought to spare myself from medication and try using Peppermint instead. I’m not a peppermint person, but the scent did distract some of the pain away and relief didn’t take too long to come.
I did suspect if this is some self-fulfilling prophecy where I led myself to believe that the Peppermint did work for me. So the perfect opportunity to test the effectiveness of Peppermint on headaches came when my colleague was having one. I got her to try Peppermint since she didn’t want to take any painkillers either. Moments later, she updated that her headache seems to be gone! Not bad.
I’m assuming it is working its magic cos we don’t need to put the cub on any medication so far. *crosses fingers and hoping this really works*
Following the clearing of his mucus after the diarrhea episode, the cub has not been showing any runny nose symptoms. Hence, I’ve gradually reduced from 2 applications to 1 application and finally, not applying it at all now since he’s no longer 鼻涕虫.
