(Yes, I’m still not done yet with my UK travel posts.)
We were headed for Buckingham Palace on our second last day and the cub was thrilled to take a bus again! We may be rather put-off by the stroller-unfriendly tube stations but I am very much impressed by how wheelchair / stroller-friendly the buses are. The bus driver will note how many strollers are being used (i.e. kids sitting inside the strollers) and tell subsequent families with strollers they will have to fold them up. Once, we saw a handicapped passenger in her wheelchair wanting to take the bus but the space was taken up by a dad with his daughter sitting in a stroller. Without any whining or complaints, the man promptly alighted from the bus with his daughter. Of course, the bus driver gave him a ticket which entitled him to take another bus without having to pay again. How considerate!
Anyway, back to Buckingham Palace. It was crazy peak season to travel during summer. We were photobombed everywhere! Thankfully we had the London weather back again and made all the squeezing a wee bit more tolerable!
Cub was thrilled to see horses in a parade
Just in time to catch the changing of guards
Nonetheless, we were glad that the cub got to catch a bit of the guards moving off and more glimpses of the horses parading around!
Marquees of media on standby for the royal birth
