As I sit here to collect and organize my thoughts for a blogpost I’m drafting on, I realize I have been pretty fortunate to make friends through my blog/Instagram. I used to think it’s not easy to make new friends after we graduate from schools because everyone’s so busy with various commitments in life.
The reason why my husband thinks I’m always on the phone is not just because I’m hooked on Instagram. It’s also because I’m in various chat groups with different groups of friends. I like to think of them as my support groups too, cos I can go to these girls for advice on kids, marriage, parents, where to go on weekends, bags and shoes, sticker labels for kids, etc. You name it, we talked about it!
Thanks and no-thanks to smartphones, I get to have my fair bit of social life and do sacrifice some of my family life at times. But luckily..since all of us are in similar stages of lives and with similar commitments to our families, we understand each other’s lack of response when we see messages like “out with husb and kids” and “getting kids to sleep now.” 😉
Just wanna say,
Thanks for being a real friend too, my online friends!
