Day 3, we moved house! But not before loading up on the breakfast at our hotel.
(I’m so amazed by how much my cub has grown. He knew I would go after him for running after his dad who went to get breakfast for us and told me, “Mommy wait. I go find Daddy!” along with the hand sign!)
We checked out of our hotel and apartment to move to Lucerne! With a kid and stroller, I must say every move is a logistics nightmare. So glad we have family around to help when needed.
By day 3, the cub is all chummy with his 姨婆s – running around to sit and play with them whenever he can.
Outside the railway station of Lucerne is an impressive looking arch which is from the old station.
Lucerne is surrounded by beautiful scenery
The cub was fascinated with all the swans and ducks.
(In my mind, all I thought of was “BIRD FLU!”)
We sat around and watched the leisure cruise, boat rides, swans and ducks go by.
Shopping was rather fun here too, for the cub!
We wandered to the Musegg Wall or The Nine Towers after getting some shopping done. The treacherous steps were non-stroller-friendly, hence I (gladly) volunteered to stay behind with the cub and stroller while husb and the rest of the entourage went up to take a good look.
According to them, the view was pretty awesome!
I know it’s a crazy idea to some to bring along a toddler to cities that are not exactly kids-/stroller-friendly. But it makes a whole lot of difference to me when I can sniff at least one of my babies to sleep at night in foreign land. Though I must add, it’s an expensive crazy idea!
