I made a difficult decision to pull Teanne out of Gymnademics after her last lesson on Sunday. From the laziest baby who only wanted to plonk herself on the mat and do nothing else to a crazy toddler who runs and screams in excitement at Gymandemics, she has come quite far indeed. I’m glad we had the opportunity to start Teanne on their programmes when she’s very young so we could see how much these had helped with her development. In comparison to the cub, the dragonlady has definitely achieved milestones way earlier. She has just been promoted to the Pre-Fellow class, which means two promotions within a year! That’s not too bad for my lazy baby. 😉
For friends who have been following my Instagram, you would know that my samseng-por (aka tomboy) absolutely adores swinging on the trapeze.
Teanne truly enjoys her time at Gymnademics. No matter how tired she is, she would try her best to stay awake during class. Once, she could not take it and dozed off for 10 minutes, after which she woke up refreshed and continued her class happily. Even the teachers were amazed!
I feel like a bad mother for pulling my kids out of classes they enjoy. But this is for the sanity of us parents that ultimately affects the kids, yes?
Because of her promotion, the next available slot for dragonlady’s class falls on Sunday mornings. Now, the cub’s music classes are on Saturday mornings. That means we will have no time for parks and brunches, which are really important in our book of parenthood! The husb and I both agree that they need some outdoor time and we need some time to have our breakfast LEISURELY. Rushing to work on Mondays to Fridays and rushing to classes on Saturdays and Sundays just don’t sound right to us. Hence, the painful decision! But I’m sure she’ll look forward to the outdoors now that she can walk and run on her own. Right?
