The cub may not have school holidays being in full-day childcare but that does not mean we don’t get to enjoy the school holiday perks this month!
There are so many events out there for kids this school holiday, I’m feeling sore about not having enough leave to bring the kids go check them out. One of the interesting events that caught my eye was the Singapore Innovative Children’s Festival 2013. They have 6 children performances that will start next week. I like that they cater to kids as young as 7 months old. So my lil’ dragonlady gets to join in the school holiday fun as well!

Have you ever heard of a international Theatre Piece specifically for babies in Singapore before?
Well, this is it! This is the WORLD PREMIERE innovative theatre piece for babies before it tours internationally. So Singaporean mothers will be the first to see this show!
This show is specifically for babies till crawling. Hence the recommended age is 6 months – 18 months or crawling. This is a very intimate show. There are only 12 mothers or fathers and their child on the mat at each performance! The other parent is asked to sit on the side and watch the experience. (Since it’s the month of Father’s Day, maybe the moms can sit on the side? 🙂 )
The concept of the show is that as parent and child lie on the “bottom of the pond” they look up at a screen which will depict a magical pond. Images have been designed for babies vision and ability to define colour and movement. The performance is set to a child’s version to Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” (one of my favourite pieces!) to introduce your child to classical music. The audience is then taken to a world of the Magical Pond!
Check out the schedule here. (p.s. every participant receives $50 complimentary GOODIE BAG from Abbot Gain IQ!)
Have a good time, peeps!
