1. Play area
We shifted the furniture around to make more space for the kids and parents. Rented a couple more toys from Rent That Toy! which has way better service than Toys4Rent.
Most other toys are from Matthias’ collection, including the kids’ pool!
The indoor play area are more for the <18-month-olds while the outdoor play area are for bigger kids.

2. Gifts for the kids
In line with the theme, I got colorful M&M mugs from Candylicious for the kids as party gifts.
I didn’t have much time to do up nice goodie bags and the car accident on Friday evening (party was on Sunday) left me with little time to do the wrapping. I was very relieved I had already bought the wrapping materials and printed out the tags to be attached to the gifts the weekend before.
A pity I don’t have a nice picture of all the colorful mugs together. But here’s a close up of how the yellow one looks like.

3. Decoration
We used the same logo I came up with for Thaddeus’ birthday theme to print onto the balloons. Most kids I know LOVE balloons, so they double up as toys for them as well.

4. Fun Bits
Mascot
The husb came up with the idea of having an M&M mascot to entertain the kids during the party. We started on our search many months ago but only found mascots such as Dora the Explorer. In the end, the husb decided to have the mascot custom-made for the party. It is quite an investment, I must say! We should probably put it up for rental eh.
Caricature
The kids invited are in the age range of a few months old to about 4 years old. Magic show is quite advanced for most of them and I don’t think face/hand painting is suitable for babies! Finally, I thought of getting a caricature artist to come and draw the kids. It is not restricted by age – babies, toddlers, young children also can! Best of all, they get to bring home a personalized something from Thaddeus’ birthday party! 🙂
Much credit goes to my family who helped in the works and the party. Because of the accident, the husb was unable to do much for the preparation. Thankfully, my dad and brothers are able to help out with the shifting of furniture, putting up of decorations and running of errands like cake collection and buying of drinks. My mum helped to make sure our birthday boy had sufficient rest before the party (no meltdown!), well fed during the party, and also looked out for Thaddeus during the party while the husb and I tried to make sure we spent some time with all our guests.
