Dear baby cub, it’s been a significant month for us as I returned to the workforce and have your 婆婆 be your main caregiver. Thanks to staying together under one roof all this time, the transition has been rather painless since you didn’t have to get used to an entirely new environment and not-too-familiar faces. In fact, you probably feel like you’re on holiday without Mommy forcing you to nap all the time eh!
I’ll leave the details (lengthy post!) of the new schedule for another post.
You had a couple of first few fun tries this past month:
You tried your butt at the kiddy ride, without it moving and quite enjoyed it!
We eventually let you try out a moving ride since Matthias gorgor wanted to have some fun too. You were obviously much more excited than he was with the novelty.
You moved on to try your butt on a sports car and almost like it as much as your Daddy. But this has no seats at the back, so it doesn’t get Mommy’s vote!
I can’t get enough of your cheeky expressions, so keep ’em coming!
But only when you want to and so far, only to your 公公. You will rub your cheek against 公公’s cheek and give the sweetest smile. Not fair, buddy. Mommy spent a good 8 months of almost 24/7 looking after you and what do I get? HAIR FALL cos you keep pulling my hair!!
Because we didn’t give you much space to crawl around until you moved downstairs to be looked after by Grandma, you crawled rather weird initially. It’s like one leg was trying to walk and the other was trying to crawl. You can still move from point A to point B. Just that you look odd doing that. Ha!
But before the first week ended, you showed us how you can move across the room using the right crawl! Guess practice makes perfect eh? 🙂
You make quite a bit of noise these days! It’s so cute watching you trying to talk to us or your toys or books.
Drinks from a sippy cup
You can, but you don’t like. Whyyy?!
You do a fancy goodbye which doubles as your “hello” too. I told you, right? You just have to learn one action and you can use it for both “hello” and “bye”!
It makes us look forward even much more to coming home each day cos we get to see your warm welcome – a wide 4-tooth smile and a fancy “helloooo” wave!
I think you have probably perfected the art of pincer grasp. You can pick up just one strand of hair from our necks and give it a hard pull. Our reactions amuse you to no end and you would give us the cheeky grin of yours.
At your last paed visit for the 9-months vaccination, you are now 10.6kg, 71cm for height and 47cm for head circumference. My baby, you are growing so quickly!
